A team of local artists and designers, The Klassnik Corporation, Riitta Ikonen and
We Made That, have been commissioned by London to develop a family of landscape features in the Olympic Park. They have been working in collaboration with the Olympic Delivery Authority’s (ODA) Arts and Cultural Strategy and Landscape and Public Realm teams.

The Fantasticology project is a series of interventions in the Park, including Fantastic Factology, planting designs for wild-flower meadows in the south-east corner of the Stadium island and distinctive entrances to The Greenway at Wick Lane and
Canning Town.

The Park being constructed in Stratford for the London Olympic and Paralympic Games will be one of the largest urban parks created in Europe for more than 150 years. Alongside housing the sporting arenas for the Games, the Park will sustain a rich ecology of wildlife and plant species. Fantastic Factology invites you to be part of this exciting transformation of east London.

A number of benches distributed throughout the Park will display plaques describing a fact. Nuggets of knowledge, from astrology to zoology, will be drawn from the broad experience of the local community and global specialists from a variety of fields. These will be statements to excite, bewilder, inform and inspire.

Please return your fantastic facts by 18th March 2011.
